Google Complies








Search engine giant Google announced that it is shortening its information retention policy from 18 months to nine months. The move to make IP addresses anonymous comes from pressure from European and U.S. policymakers and regulators. According to the official Google blog, the company first introduced a privacy policy in March 2007, and initially kept personal information indefinitely.
